Alginate is used for making lifecasting molds. It helps create very detailed true to life duplicates. Ideal for casting body parts or very detailed objects.
Mix 1.5 part normal water temperature to 1 part powder. Stir fast and beat lumps rapidly. Mixture turns white to faint pink within 30 seconds. Faint pink indicates mixture has hardened. Be sure to dip object or pour over before it hardens. This is a one time usage mold. Goes well with plaster castings.
Do a smaller test batch before attempting a bigger project.
