What is Carrier Oil?
Carrier oil is any oil used to dilute essential oil before being applied to the skin. It is a vegetable oil derived from the fatty portion of a plant, that is usually from the seeds, kernels or nuts.
Application & Recipes
Apply to melt & pour soap base, liquid soap base or skincare recipes. Can be applied directly to skin with the choice of essential oils. Dilute 1-2% of essential oil to 30ml carrier oil. Do a patch test on your skin prior to use.
Anti-aging Sea Buckthorn Face Serum
Carefully add 1 part of Rosehip seed oil to 1 part jojoba oil into a little container using a small funnel. Now add 1 tablespoon of Sea Buckthorn oil into the mixture. Close the cap of the container and shake the bottle gently to mix the oils up. Massage a few drops onto your face and neck, using an upward motion. Do this at night time as this is when the skin repairs itself.
After sun soothing blend
Mix 1 tablespoon Sea Buckthorn Oil with half a cup Aloe Vera Gel in a blender. Blend until homogeneous. Next, add 1 tablespoon of Lavender Hydrosol and 3 drops of Lavender Essential Oil. Blend well. Store in an air-tight container. When using always use a spoon to avoid contamination. Store in the refrigerator for a longer shelf life.
